Long Overdue!

This is long overdue! I have been neglecting my blog since the inception of the year and its finally time to get back on board. Over the months so many weird, wonderful and exciting things have been happening all around me, and of course there have been many Black Stars who have been shinning brighter than the rest. This month I'll be dedicating my posts to BlackStars who are making 2012 their year of greatness...

Tantalizing Tumi Voster

TUMI VOSTER

Tumi Voster, got her big break into the entertainment industry back in 2005 through a talent search: “Quest for fame”. This beauty was on various shows on YO-TV for a period of three years and thereafter studied and recently attained a Marketing Communication degree through the University of Johannesburg. At the beginning of this year, Tumi worked for an Advertising company where she says she gained valuable work experience and personal growth. “The opportunity taught me a lot but it was just not for me,” she says. Prior to this, she had already submitted a demo at YFM and was lucky enough to be called in to take up a job as content producer for a midday show. Catch her on the airwaves every weekday between 12-3pm.

Good Sundae

Sunday's will never be the same again...
Durban's latest craze is Good Sundae, an event hosted by Red Key concepts which has been successfully running for the past couple of months. GS provides a great venue, where like-minded party people can socialise whilst enjoying some great tunes and sun downers. Unlike conventional Sunday sessions, Good Sundae's are trendy, more vibey and ooze swag.

Durbanites and visitors can all enjoy an afternoon out with friends or go out to meet new people and indulge in the good music and ambiance that Good Sundae's have become known for.

Our family holiday in Dubai!

So from the 23rd of August until the 03rd of September we took a family vacation to beautiful Dubai UAE. Our mom flew down from Saudi Arabia and we took a flight on Qatar airways from South Africa. The entire trip was truly amazing, even the flights back and fourth. Qatar airlines gave us star treatment on our journeys, providing top of the range entertainment, service and food! Here's a sneak peek of some of the things we did on this AMAZING trip of a lifetime...

This pic was taken on our desert tour where we had the opportunity to mix with tourists form around the world. We were treated to a 4x4 tour around the desert and when we arrived at the camp we enjoyed a 4 star buffet fit for Arabian Kings and Queens.

The trip allowed us to visit many malls throughout Dubai and on our trips we picked up quite a few things...Zara was our 3rd home away from home and that's where we shopped till we literally dropped, lol...

Zara, Gucci, Burberry, Peppermint, you name it we bought it...

Cheers! Palesa, Refilwe and Nkuli enjoying some Arab coffee before departing for a Dinner Cruise in Dubai...

Sunny Durban

Pick Durban as you holiday destination this Summer and explore some of the wonderful places that the warm city of Durban has to offer.

Fun things to do this Summer

1. Good Company
Summer is a great time for you and your friends to get together and escape the Winter blues. One way of going about it is by arranging a mini-pool tournament amongst your group of friends: my favourite spot is Villans Bar in Glenwood. It is a chilled out spot where you can shoot some pol whilst shooting down a couple of drinks...

Here are some other spots you can explore on your visit:
